Report: Ambassador: Russia, Iran could produce cars jointly

MOSCOW, Mar 1 (PRIME) -- Tehran does not rule out joint manufacturing of cars with Russia, ambassador Kazem Jalali told newspaper Parlamentskaya Gazeta on Wednesday.

“There is one more idea in the sphere, joint production,” Jalali said.

“I think that we can unite the capacities and create synergy. This is another idea under consideration."

Russian ambassador Alexei Dedov said earlier that Saipa was in talks to sell more than 20,000 cars to Russia per year, although the Industry and Trade Ministry said there is still no certificate.
